The Department of Public Works' Engineering/Administration division is located at 1242 Massachusetts, and performs engineering and administrative functions for the department.

The engineering division performs engineering design of road and bridge projects, plan review, construction inspection, surveying, and permit processing for entrances, oversize loads, utility installations, and subdivision road construction.
